After all the struggles, everything was done. Pro : more turbo sound from SRI (DAMN!! I love this sound) Con : higher IAT I guess all those are related to Intake. I'm planning to run another pound of boost with less tapering down at redline (20.5psi @ peak and 19.5psi @ redline). Here are all the pictures...
TurboXS. I just can't wait till it runs smoothly. The Intake map table takes more time to dial in correctly.
+1.... Looks very nice. The short-ram really does a nice job of increasing the turbo noise doesn't it. Very addicting sound!! Also, there's a write-up on Nasioc about reversing the flow of the intercooler so that the cool side isn't running over the turbo. I'm thinking about doing this just need to check a couple more things out first though.
ped, if you find more info about switching flow direction, let me know. I gotta thank michael for his wonderful workmanship.:bigthumb: for ya~
Very nice! I am envious. I so want to go with a nice front mount, but for about the price of most new front mount kits I could have a short block :ddirty: Thanks for the pics!
Yea I couldn't stand the way the intercooler was not centered haha. This is my old fmic setup by the way for people that didn't know.
I used to have worx and I loved it. But I like my sexier APS unit. thanx for the offer. oh yeah, BTW, mine is for FMIC version. If you have tmic, this won't fit.
nice job. you said that the fm is a tubrboxs? what about the piping? and what do you mean about the centering mod?
pipes are from turboxs as well, but they were powder coated professionally with black. Centering mod was done in order to keep the IC centered. duh~ If you use factory hole to mount IC, it will be little off-centered, but it won't require you to cut the bottom of foglight area as much to fit in.
