So my wife got me a nice high powered dremel for Christmas and I decided to try my hand at porting and polishing today on a spare intercooler. I just worked with the y pipe portions to see what I could do with them. Here are my results. Before: After: Comparison:
its important to make sure the transition is smooth and then at the elbow as well. if you like send it to me and Ill fine bead blast it the insides for you
I am really not sure I know enough about porting wastegates. I am sure it is not a whole lot different, but I would have to do some research on it and figure out exactly what it is supposed to look like after the port work so I can get a good mental image of what needs to be done. These are just extra parts I had laying around to learn on in case I made any mistakes, lol. All in all it took a little over an hour, but there was a lot of learning curve time to really figure it out and see which bits worked best.
