I replaced my brake fluid and bled the lines for the first time today, hoooray!

The only tools I needed was: clear plastic tubing and an empty milk jug. The old fluid is noticeably darker than the new fluid as seen through the clear line; this is useful as you can tell when the all of the old fluid is out of the system.

Anyway this was one maintenance task that proved to be easier that it sounded and for that I am quite happy.

Not to mention the fact that my brakes feel much firmer now. Apparently there was some air in the system all along! Either from the factory or slowly air got into the brakes over time because I never noticed a change in brake feel until after replacing the fluid.

I was going to add the ss lines as well, but apparently I need 8 copper washers that WERE NOT supplied to me from the previous owner. Also what i thought were wrx brackets are actually LGT brackets so no major brake upgrade yet.

    That is all for now.

Good job! Brakes always feel so much better after a nice bleeding...

When the brakes cool, they suck moisture and air from the outside this is why you should bleed them regularly. Probably everytime you rotate your tires.

Now that I know how relatively easy it is to bleed, I won't hesitate to do this more often.
