saturday was my first night at the track with my sti..it was at macon national dragway..or at twiggs..as most people call it..its an 8th mile track..they had a tuner shootout,i won 300 bucks my first day ever racing..there was a lot of bad ass motor swapped hondas up there from around macon, and a few other cars..but i beat them all by at least a second..didnt do as good as i thought i would..pulled an 8.56 at 80 mph.i need help with the tree mainly..but what are some of yall running?and whats a good thing to do at the strip to improve my times?thanx

    Congrats on winning cash.

What are your mods and what were your 60' times?

I usually run around a 7.9 @ 92 mph in the 1/8th but I am far from stock. Maybe I need to roll down to Macon and earn some money for more mods ;)

not 2 much..ecutek tune, silencer delete,k&n filter, full perrin piping, greddy bov,few other minor things..just basic stuff..all of my reaction times were over 1 second though.except for a .799 that i got in one of only 2 practice runs.so i could have been a lot faster..i also didnt remove my 100+lb system and i had a car full of crap..i was just going to practice but i found out about the tuner challenge when i got there..so i didnt get to practice..so i let all the cars i raced go first because i didnt want to red light because it was my first time out..and it was 2 much of a risk to try to get a good rt when i had 300 bucks right there in my hand...haha..ill go back next time ready though..and hopefully with an hks catback..i want to pull low 8s..and what is brake boost?

    pEd This ain't no Piccadilly!

the 1/8th mile, IMO, is where the Suby shines.
    What were your 60' times?

The minivan could be our "parts" van and store spare tires and such. What are they called? Service Van or something?

yea..there were 29 cars that came to enter.all hondas, and non turbo..besides a stock turbo eclipse..when they seen me enter there were only 9 cars left..it dropped the winning pot but w/e it was still good cash for like 4 races against 10+second cars

my best 60 ft was like 1.77..i almost like got jumped by this honda car club, because i outran they're club leader that had a built 92 civic that was gutted with a cage, built gsr engine, racing slicks..u know the whole do up..and i beat him by about 6 or 7..they all surrounded my car and said i was running nitrous and heard me spraying all the way down the track and told me to go run him again without nitrous..and i just told him it was a stock car with upgraded ecu..they all had motor swaps and built engines..but didnt know what the hell an sti was..the only one that did was the guy with the baddest honda..the whole thing was just funny
