Hello as most of you may know there are two fmic kits for sale in the Private For Sale forum here. One is a txs with an aem shortram and the other is injen with the injen cai. I have only heard great things about the txs kit and was wondering which would be a better buy. From the pictures the injen fm looks a little puny compared to the txs one and i was just wondering if there was a significant performance difference in either one.

    Thanks in advance

Not sure on the actual performance difference, but the Injen is smaller and obviously will be an easier fit / install. Its also coming off another bugeye so you know fitment is good.

smaller also meaning less efficient at cooling intake temp... Correct me if im wrong.

the core is quite a bit smaller than the TXS one but it really depends on how much turbo you are going with. Plus with the smaller core, lag is less of an issue if you do decide to go with a bigger snail. I had a vf22 @ 19lbs tuned by SS with no problems/no knock what so ever and suffered minimal lag. Plus with the Injen you can use a Cold Air Intake vs a Hot Air Intake :) Either way a front mount is much better and more effiecient than the stock topmount.

I am planning on going with a deadbolt 20g in the near future. Hopefully i will be putting down around 330 to 340ish hp. Do you think the injen fm will be big enough for such an application?

I would go with the TXS for there reputation, very few cars run injen products, since you you plan on going with a 20G I would get the TXS since its a good size, I personally run the Perrin FMIC with my 20G setup

What kind of numbers did you get out of your 20g and what other mods do you have??
