My damn transmission has just started leaking ever so slighty from the Centerdiff where the front passenger side axel comes out. I got to get it replaced. Anyone ever done this before? I'm not sure how much the dealer would charge me to replace but i know it's goin to be an arm and a leg. Input?

    Thanks,

I will check on this at work and get back to you tomorrow night if no other helpful replies. I am pretty sure though you'll be messing w/carrier bearing preload to access the seal, not something you'd want to adjust wrong!

Yeah, I had the diver's side replaced a while ago and it was under an hour. Now the passanger side is leaking.

You can replace it but it does affect the preload on the front diff. There is an aluminum "cap" that you unscrew to replace the seal. If you mark the cap while it is tight, then spin it loose and mark it again just before it pulls off the threads you can get it back to close to where it was.

Sorry, no I didn't. Our computer has no suby trans info but I can definitely get it from a friend at a different shop that uses the Alldata system which is VERY thorough. PM me a fax and I could get it to you quicker.
