    back ground info:
    04 STI
    Stock struts and springs
    Whiteline 26/24 mm sways front/back
    group N top hats
    all TIC bushings
Why? stock springs not RCE Yellows? = (moving too the boonies, so I need off road capability)

I have just swapped my springs back to stock from RCE yellows (needed the increased ride height) and when I put the stock front perches back on they didn't cover the springs. The perch is the part just below the top hat. The perch is smaller than the top of my springs... so the top on my front springs are kinda sticking out on one side of the perch.

Will this cause a problem? or am I ok? :eek3:
The spring wont slip off and hit the body of the car or the strut will it?

    Any feedback would be helpful.

p.s. RCE yellows are for sale... see here: http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23061

    pEd This ain't no Piccadilly!

    can you get a pic?

I'm not sure how the perch is smaller than the top of the spring.
If you've put it back to stock (springs & struts) then it should fit fine.

dont think a pic would come out (too high up in the wheel well)... but I can try if it causes me problems.

This happen to me when I got my RCE's... they accidently sent me two sets of rears (1 version 1, one version 2)... Had us pretty confused trying to install. Did you by a set of stockers from someone or just putting your originals back on?

This might sound silly, but did you install the springs upside down?

...and where were you three weeks ago when I was shopping for some yellows!!?

I thought the same thing, but I think they are the right way (flat part at the top, and fatter at the bottom)

These are my OEM springs, so they DID fit at one time. Don't really know why they didn't fit under the OEM tops???
