    Facts of the case:
    1. I have 3 cars at the house, all of them manual tranny.
    2. My wife and I have just discovered we are ~8-10 weeks pregnant and my wife is ready to kill me if I do not get her an automatic tranny vehicle ASAP.
    3. I just bought a manual 2005 Legacy GT Wagon about 3 months and have spent nearly $2K on it with tuning/meth kit/etc. This car just put down 289WHP/314WTQ at Topspeed and the wife is pissed and wants me to sell this car. I think I will quit my job and become a recluse if she makes me sell this car... SO HELP A FELLOW SUBY OWNER OUT.

Vehicle #1 on the trading block is a 98 Audi A4 1.8T that has a Southbend Stage 4 OFE clutch in it that she absolutely hates to drive. The 98 Audi was a long term project car that could pretty easily go big turbo (i.e GT3071 or similar). Chassis has 205K on it, but most major components have less than 100K on them. Interior needs work. I spent $3k on it in the last 18 months with the new clutch, new dual mass flywheel, new clutch slave AND New Clutch master (I wanted to do it all right). Stern tranny mount, 034 street density mounts, full sythethic Motul in tranny, brakes, complete new CV axles have less than 30K on them, etc, etc etc. I just do not have time to mess with this car anymore and it needs lots of time, but all the basics are there for making a very quick 1.8T car or it could make a good first car. Makes about 200HP at the crank and gets 29mpg in my daily commute around I-285. It has RS4-style body kit- looks a tiny bit ghetto but still more classy than ghetto IMO. front bumper needs some glass work and paint Looking for $3,500 for this car. Oh and it is getting BRAND new rubber this week- on Borbet 17"-225/45R17.

My wife has been driving a 2002 WRX bugeye wagon and she is sick of the manual tranny with her new sales job visiting customers. We bought the 2002 WRX Wagon used with high mileage and owned for about 4 years now. Prior owner lived in VA but was in flight training in Florida and racked up lots of miles. My wife commuted ~60 miles per day between Tucker and Morrow so the 140K miles on the car are at least 85% highway. The car has been very reliable, just a leaky AC hose fixed las summer and I put a new MAF sensor in about 6 months ago. Car gets ~24mpg on the highway. Mods are very minor, just a Greddy Evo exhaust (sounds better than my much faster Wagon- LOL), and it has a set of JDM STI Wagon struts with Group N top mounts. All else stock. Car could use some paint work, one from a dent caused by bike being put on rack and some scuff marks where some idiot swiped it in a parking lot. No rust.

Both the 98 Audi and the 2002 WRX could be part of a trade. Looking for a reliable midsize car MUST be an automatic (any wagon owners?). Prefer an Outback or maybe a Volvo V70 or S60, but I will consider whatever you've got, if either or both of my cars spark any interest.

I really can not part with more than a few thousand dollars at this point, but I will happily do a "my 2 cars for your 1 car" trade if it is an equitable trade. By equitable trade I suggest we all use edmunds.com Private Party value as a starting point.

Please PM me or better still email me at Xmotomark73@yahoo.comX <remove the "X"'s> if you are willing to trade or swap.

    old photos

The Audi is White Pearl. This photo is old and does NOT show the damage to the front left bumper, but you get the basic idea. Pic reminded me it also has a FMIC, which I left out in above description.

The WRX is Sedona Red Pearl and very tiny- sorry- only thing I have here at work. I will try to get better photos, particularly the ugly bits. Both cars have cosmetic problems I am not trying to hide.
