GD and GR DP the same???

So I want to get to the bottom of this please...I have had two people post in my FS thread that the GD downpipe and the GR downpipe are different...

I do NOT believe they are different :unamused:


Can a few folks give some input please

 

They are different. The GR DP is longer and is the same as the LGT DP.

Yeah, they are different, Alex. The GR is based off of the 05+ Legacy platform and uses the same DP.

 

Actually a WRX DP will fit the Legacy/GR set up. Only downside is that it is VERY tight against the firewall and will be about 12" or so too short at the CBE connection. Back when the 05 LGT's first came out, there was no DP option so guys had to use WRX DP's. There was actually someone and I can't remember who, that made an adapter pipe to go between the DP and CBE. The lower mounting tab is in the same location or so I was told. There were lots of guys on legacygt.com that did this. PDE quickly came out with a LGT figment and I opted for that option.

 

I dont think it is 12"....I thought it was only 3-4".

ERZ makes an awesome catless DP for your car that is cheap. Around $150 shipped.

 

You are probably right. It has been many moons since I was reading and researching the subject. Just trying to give the OP a little background info on the subject.
