GD STi seats in a GR

I have a pair of '04 STi front seats my buddy wants to try to put in his '09 Impreza because the stock seats have no lateral support. Discounting the obvious aesthetic issues with this, how much trouble will that be? Has anyone tried this? Couldn't find anything in the search.

You will need to cut/custom make the brackets.

cool, doesn't look like anything too complicated. I can modify the existing brackets to fit that no problem. I was planning on putting GR STi seats in my bugeye when I redo the interior so that'll help there as well.

he's got a standard impreza, the side bolsters are pretty pitiful and carolla-esque it'll be an improvement
