purely aesthetic... but i think they look sweet... lost the HID effect though... headlights look like regular lights
that could be pseudo functional... this is going to be PURELY aesthetic if all goes well, i should have it tomorrow
you should paint your wheels gloss black like this guy did: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51573 -- Brian
i definitely plan to powder coat them in the future... im trying to decide what shade of 'dark' i should go with... like gloss black, gunmetal, etc... i'll do that when: 1) i am back in atlanta 2) someone with an extra set of rims is nice enough to lend me the set for a week or 2 (while mine get powder coated) 3) maybe i will wait till the re070s wear out so i need to unmount them anyway
probably gonna get em done today... subaru of dallas (SOD from now on) stocks them... i figured i'd get them to install them since i am a retard when it comes to precision of any sort... they are open until 7pm i think so i need to see if i can make it there at a decent time after work everything else is fine here... this place is HOT as hell... low humidity is good though
sunny, good chance of starvation with low chances of doom feeling.. and then again i'm not a real guy who tells u the forcast
Looks really good man. So even though you lost the HID effect, do you still like the front headlight covers. I would not want to lose the brightness of the HIDs.
well, the headlights are still bright enough to see fine at night... however the light is yellowish, not white anymore
i was hoping for lighter in the front too... but that was the lightest they had... im gonna keep it on for a while and decide if i like the blacked out look or HIDs
i love the back, but i think the front is a little too much. maybe down the road we'll crack open the lamps and paint the inside so you can keep the hid's. but it still looks mean. are you going to keep the subaru badge in the front?
i kept telling him befor ehe left we need to clear and paint those babies but he wouldnt listen to reason
Looks good! My ex had a similar look on her mustang, her headlight covers were a little darker, we'd have to drive around with the high beams on in order to see at night.
you should get a smoked license plate frame also. -- Brian Can't you just have circles cut out where the HID bulbs shine through?
wow they look really great.. great job.. yeah maybe u need to cut out the part where the HID is so it shines thru over all good looking..
hmmm... i dont have photoshop here but i wonder what it would look like with the entire round bulge taken out also i wonder if i can cut anything out without scratching it
