Getting tires, a few questions

I'm due for a new set of tires, and with a Bridgestone employee discount burning a hole in my pocket, I'm going to be upgrading in the near future.

These are all noobtastic questions for such an old member, so bear with me.

I have 17x8 wheels.
235/40R17 right?
245/40 or 35? R17

Now, does any one have any good pictures of 245 tires on an 8 inch wide rim? I like my tires meaty (stretch can blow me), but I want to see how it looks first.

Lastly, my car is lowered on SPT springs (eibachs). It's only about an inch lower all the way around. Will I run into problems with rubbing on 235 or 245? I've been meaning to roll my fenders for quite some time, so this will make a great excuse if need be.

In case you're wondering, I'm thinking RE050a Pole Position or RE760 Sport(I just can't justify the tread life of the RE-11 for the type of driving I'll be doing for awhile).
