    pEd This ain't no Piccadilly!

NOt sure what they have, as I haven't been yet, but there is a place called the Gasthaus Cafe.

They may have some. You could always make the drive up to Helen.

Try the Brick Store Pub in Decatur...get there early to get a table upstairs!

Not too sure on the food selection...but the beer is mind blowing!

Mmmm, you're going to hate me. I was in Berlin a week ago and had food and beer very similar to what you desire :)

Being German I can only truly recommend one restaurant here in Atlanta: http://www.kurtsrestaurant.com/ and it ain't cheap it is the real deal incl beer.

If you've never had good German food I recommend Helen you'll never know the difference, ignorance is bliss. One reason I miss the Midwest damn good German food!

Who let Patrick take his shirt off??? He's a ghost! :p

Also, 5 Seasons has good brew, but their food is an asian fusion (which isn't bad really). The owner's wife is Japanese.

I was over in China and I had some excellent beer and food. My friend is German so he tried all the places around town and found a good place that authentic. He also knew the owner and brewer. The place was pretty serious and imported all the material down to hops and Nürnberger Bratwürste and it was quite expensive. It was about 7 dollars per half liter of wheat beer and it was simply delicious.

I am glad that a German has chimed here so I will give vreny's Biergarten soon. It seems they do not brew fresh Hefeweizen in house so maybe I've been spoiled a bit. Any recommendations on what bottled wheat beer to try or do they actually brew there?

    Thanks for the info.

I don't think I will have a good appetite if I see that much naked men with pink background again...
