Googles new Satellite Feature

    Pretty slick. Use the map to find the location you want, zoom in and click on the satelitte button at the top of the page. I have had access to this at the county for quite a few years, but free on the internet is always cool!!

    My subdivision was just a cleared piece of earth when the image was taken. :(

    Same here, don't feel too bad! In fact this imagery is probably several years old. Taking the pics is expensive, I am sure they bought outdated imagery to keep costs down, or maybe it was just free to them. When a county or government wants to do this, they typically take pics from a plane and have very high resolutions. There is even a company that offers ortho's, side imagery as well as straight down...
