AKA. A Laser thermo. WIll be comparing the engine temps of various area's before and after some of the cooling measures(Cermaic Coating ETC).

    Any Requests for temp readings?

Any donor cars for some tmic temp testing? STi/WRX

I would liek to know the actual temperature of the air after the intercooler just before the intake manifold

I'd be cool with some TMIC testing. I'm on your neck of the woods as well, so let me know when the tests begin.

Sounds good, will get working on it, so far just playing with it, now time to start aquiring data. I will most likely start getting some temps at meets, before going in to eat and at cooldown.

Yes Heat can be a killer.

Need some ideas on how to uniform test.

    For intercoolers. End Tanks? Fins?
    Throttlebody, Intake Manifold, Radiator.
Plus spots that arent hot but would show overall heat radiated, such as ??
Airbox for stockers. Intake Pipe Temp. Belt Cover.

Guess Ill start in an Excel Format. :)

Sounds like a "cool" project. :keke:

I still have my stock TMIC if you want to compare with it.

I'm thinking about getting a tire temp gauge. It sticks into the tire and can help with alignment, driving style, etc.

And does anyone have a damn G-Tech Pro!? I want to know my 0-60! :naughty:

    Hehe!

So far I have started some readings on some cars.

    Misc Interesting facts.

Passenger side head is usually always hotter.

Will eventually test ways to reduce the passenger side heat.

May be coming from uppipe proximity to head.

    Testing is going like follows

    Right Head
    Left Head
    Air Intake Piping/Intercooler Piping/Airbox
    Heat Shield
    Compressor Side of turbo
    Header temp
    Center of intercooler
    Both Sides of endtanks
    Throttle Body
    Intake Manifold
    Top of Radiator

I am attempting to gather cold, hot and 1hr cooldown temps.

Looking for car with no heatshield and car with heatshield with the same intercooler.

    Anyone with a heat chimney.

    STi Topmount :)
