so i got a greddy type RS for really cheap froma friend today and i am gonna put it on in a recirculating mode. My question is will this bov do its duties? i have heard this bov is better for higher boost that normal.

now im having fitment issues and i had to loosen the intercooler piping above the bov to get it to fit correctly. Then i dropped an intercooler bolt:(.....i think i have to get a new one now haha. Its making a balloon sound while driver while i accel...anyone have any solutions?

yea i would try not to drive your car and if you do try not to hit boost till you get that fixed..you can go up to sog or any hardware store and get a bolt for a few dollars..or like crazy said let the car cool down and get a telescopic magnet

ok crazy what you said made no sense....LOL

anywayz yea i got it on i found all the pieces i needed and i didnt drive it without putting both bolts in on the old bov.

my only problem is i am recirculating now but i figured i would be able to hear something maybee with my silencer removed. i dunno. throttle response feels better though.

i have a go fast bits bov. it is set to 50\50 recurc\vent. it is normal to have to move t he intercooler up about 4 inches to install and the spooling sound is probably the balloon sound you're refering to. with it set to recurculate the spool will be louder but the discharge sound should be mostly unchanged. go to 50\50 for the whip cracking sound and make sure the bovs spring is set correctly. a shutter sound at low rpms shifts under heavy throttle, a puff-crack at light throttle, and a loud cracking sound at anything over4000 rpms under fullthrottle

im not sure how you adjust the spring rate with your specific bov. with the gofastbits piece its just an alan wrench at the top, and then it's just lefty loosy-righty tighty

yea thats how you adjust mine, the balloon sound i fixed it hink it was lack of a bolt and it was just pressure hitting the gasket. It doesnt make that annoying sound anymore. Since imrunning 100% recirc now i do hear louder turbo spool but no sound. I dont know that this bov will do a 50/50.
