ok, without even installing my new kyb's yet I'm already thinking ahead. Can't make up my mind between going with some group N tops or camber plates. How harsh is the ride with alloy camber plates compared to hardened mounts, and aside from the benefits of adjusting camber are any basic advantages over top hats?
My set up currently will be kyb agx struts with whiteline control springs. now that I have upgraded my struts I will eventually get the mack daddy whiteline Flat-out springs and 'drop dat bitch down a little mo, yo' lol

I think the camber plates are just stiffer IE going from hard urethane to metal. I have the Group N's and they were a big difference from the stock ones (mine had over 115k miles on it so they were pretty worn). Plus I don't think the camber plates wear like the Group N's.

There is no reason to really get the camber plates. The camber bolts can already go to -1.75 camber, which is more than enough for autox. Anything more on a daily driver and you run the risk of burning through tires really fast. I would suggest just getting the tophats as that is really all you would need to stiffen them up. You are going to pay an extra few 100 for the camber plates only to get like one more negative degree of camber. Unless you are going to use this car for some serious track days forget the camber plates. Also, even though you could potentially adjust the camber at anytime, like before races and before you get back on the rode, this will still f' up your toe angles and will also kill your tires or make your car out of control on the roads.

If you do decide to get camber plates, make sure the mount is spherical. Otherwise you could destroy your nice new struts.

I really don't need the camber because I don't autocross or anything; so without any additional benefit from the plates it sounds like the top hats are the way to go....thanks

If you don't autox, the tophats aren't really necessary either. I use Eibachs with the KYB's and haven't had any issues with my stock tophats. For the same price, go with the rear swaybar instead. Its a much better mod that you will surely feel daily driving.

whether I'm auto-xing or not I'm going balls to the wall on my suspension; so tophats and sways are both in the equation. I have a list of 52 upgrades still to go..lol and they both are on the list. when I get the $$, Group 4 coilovers are also on the list :D
lets be honest, no one really NEEDS this crap lol
