  1. Actually...i've been here for about 2 weeks. I've just been lazy and havent actually posted it. I was in Beijing for 9 days, Shanghai for 2 days and i'm currently in Guangdow.

"Business Trips" with parents are getting boring..

America needs to learn from China in road maintance. The roads in Beijing and Shanghai are AMAZING. They look brand new and they have sweep cleaners going on them (even the highways which makes a mess of traffic). Theres bushes on the middle or green things which prevent oncoming traffic lights to blind you. The plants on the side of the road is just a nice touch and they cut them everyday and such. Sadly...traffic laws are strict with "speed cameras" which i've seen like..6. Freeways have speeds as fast as 60 kph (thats slow if you don't get it.) But when you get to the country sides where you are allowed to go 110 KPH you can do some serious speeding there. Roads are empty, the roads are straight and have small turns.
Though, roads in other parts of China aren'the best...just prob the big cities where they are good.

I have seen ONE Subaru Legacy (90') on the road and nothing else.

Most random billboard ad on the country side of the road for a Legacy. You have to understand buying a Legacy here would be pretty random and rare...like an exotic. Hyundais are like Hondas in America. Audis rule with BMWs and Mercs everyonce in a while. (I've seen more brand new 2007 S-classes here then America...by alot) You have to understand we get S500s in America while they mostly have S350. S500 is about 90,000, but in China a S350 is about 140,000. People here must have some serious money going on. And i've seen rows of S-classes following limos (for weddings).

Subbies would be amazing here for the passing lanes...

Anyone got any questins? Yes wikipedia.com is apparently "not working" and google is censored in certain places. It was apprently banned in public.

I miss living in Italy, when I got my drivers license test there they told me the speed limit on the Autostrada was "as fast as you car will go".... Got my 1982 Bmw 520i going 220kph!

shocking.. the great firewall of china allowed you to come to this capitalistic, western site... hey while your there, try googling all kinds of things, see what works and what won't. I'm curious, like a cat.

the roads are so nice, because they are all brand new. theres now a shortage of concrete because they are using all it.

say hello to all 1.7 billion of my cousins for me

  11. IT seems the firewalls are less effective in hotels because they know westerners will stay there. I was able to search "mao zedong killings" with alot of results. But when i went to shanghai airport...google.com was blocked.

It seems the firewalls don't mind outsiders to search really random stuff like "communism" "north korea" "PORN"

I saw car parts on the truck going away from me. I swear i saw stuff that might fit our cars. Some manifold thing and maybe a uppipe. We will never know.
