Having a couple problems...

Ok, from Sunday till now things just keep happening and I don't know why.

First, I throw a CEL: P0546. I just went to a catless UP so I'm guessing I blew my resistor or something. Not a big deal.

Now, tonight after I wait for it to cool off (it was 95 degrees today in Tuscaloosa) I go and push on the gas, and notice I am not making full boost...? I checked all my hoses and everything seems to be in order. You guys thing it could be my up pipe needs another torquing after going through some heat cycles?

    Any help would be great!

Its possible that the pipe does need to be retorqued but if you did it to spec the first time it probably doesn't. Just checking the hoses usually won't catch a boost leak if you have one...you may need to pressure test the system.

I'm not entirely clear on the best way to do that so I'll leave it to someone who knows to explain it. Good luck. :)

I just took off my intake silencer a couple of days ago, but I wasn't having any issues till now. I'll be putting it back on tomorrow.

I'd bet the resistor you put in came out. Check it FIRST! Maybe put a new one in.

Otherwise, I'd check your hoses over again. Make sure you look around the evap solenoid.
I straight up am using someone else's image here.

what is the tq spec? TAF?

What does the evap solenoid do? Is this a common leak area? How do you fix the leak.

I am not hitting target boost (Cobb stage 2 - only hitting 14 psi). I have been planning to take the IC off and check lines. This may be a place to start.

So Ped, you think the resistor could be the cause of my boost issues too?

I think the resistor and the boost issues are independent.

I replaced the resisitor, reset my ecu to clear the CEL, put my snorkus back on, and found a small crack in my boost gauge line and closed it off. Now my car is running fine. Hopefully for good.

Bet it was the boost gauge line. The snorkel shouldn't have anything to do with not reaching full boost. Your lines were hard as hell. You should replace all of them.

Yeah, my boost gauge did this too. Stage 2 with no boost gauge FTL. Glad you found it!

I failed. I am spooling up like normal, but I am still only making like 8psi...? Any advice on what to check?

I have narrowed my search down to my wastegate. I think its preventing me from getting even stock boost.

In order to let it run more boost, do I shorten it or extend the wastegate arm?

Fixed! My wastegate arm was pretty rusted and didnt move very easily. I sprayed it down with some WD40 and it is working just fine now. I am making the perfect amount of boost.

cool. Just wondering but where is your car from?
