so i bought a set of retrofitted headlights... i believe they are fitted with fx35 projectors. i think i wired it up all wrong so the driver`s side is stuck with the high beam on and the passenger side is fine with a crisp cut off (the way it's supposed to be i think). i set the beam as low as possible but the driver's side i am blinding the hell out of people... as of now, i have no high beam at all, but if i`m not mistaken the fx35s have a shield that switches from a low to hi beam. if you guys have any experience with this stuff please help me out! passenger side is fine but the driver's side has a weird dome... sean helped me out figure out how to lower the beam this is where it sits on both sides... i`m so lost... i hate wires.
The hi beams in bixenon projectors is controlled by a solenoid. There is a cutoff shield that creates the low beam like you see on your passenger side. When you hit your high beams, the solenoid pops the cutoff shield up and out of the way giving you high beams. You are having one of two possible issues. Solenoid went bad and it is stuck where it is. Wired wrong and it isn't getting a signal. When you hit the high beams, does the situation switch?
ok.. brandon checked it out and told me everything is wired up correctly but the projectors are glued on backwards! WTH... and these are single-xenons so no hi beam (kinda disappointed)... he placed a paper underneath the lights and the cutoff line was on the ground lol (major fail) anybody have experience opening up a headlight wanna help me out?
