So I've had my HPs on for about 3 months now, and they will not stop squeaking! I know they are known to do so, but is it that bad? Does anybody know any substance I can apply that will stop the squeaking?

if anybody else has the HPs, whats your experience?

it's only normal when they are cold, you should have went with HPS if you didnt want to deal with dust and noise, but they do bite well

go down a road at 80 mph and slam on the brakes... that will stop the noise.... may also cause an accident too but hey the brakes will be warm!

Mine only squeak right as I almost come to a complete stop... so I just slam on the brakes at the end and look like a fool.

haha, thats funny because I do the same thing! As I am coming to a stop they go NUTS, so I try to pulse it or even slam them.

everyone looks over.." wtf is this kid doing???, hey you need to change your breaks buddy!"

believe it or not I was actually thinking of doing that. lol.

The squeaking gets so annoying and people stare at me as i'm coming to a stop. Thank god for 5% tint.

At my old job I pulled in the parking lot one day in brian's s2k with carbotech pads on, all the maintaince guys were smoking outside. They promptly told me that I should have new pads put on to which I replied that they were cold and maybe I should burn out of the parkinglot and shoot down the street and then come to a complete stop to warm them up ;)

I have finally accepted that my little racecar is just full of noises. Sqeeeeeks, rattles, clunks, you name it...Get used to it or go buy a luxury car!lol

Seriously though, I have had the HPS and the +'s and all seem the same. I would recommend the stock pad unless you plan to track it. I would not think auto X is long enough to get them hot enough to make a difference (but since I have not autoXed yet I cannot say) just my 2cents.

So Hawks are no good then?? Don't want to threadjack but I've been looking to replace the stockers to lessen this insane dust.. I don't track the car, so as long as they have similar stopping power to the stockers thats fine. Hawks are reasonably priced but get mixed reviews...

Did you clean around the brakes when you changed them?

Screw that man... Someone on here has to know... What pads have similar to stock breaking power with less dust and no(or little squeeking)? Does such a pad not exist?????

i just got the HPS on my car, and it has wayy lower dust than stock and wayyyyyyyyy shorter stopping distance. so far i LOVE it i have no issues with sound or vibration. the only thing that is bothering me is some rattle in my interior, swaybars clunking a little, and the new tires being so damn LOUD (hankook ventus RS-2).
