Heat shield?

I've been cruising around without a turbo heat shield for about a month now since I got my downpipe. Since I'm a ricer I'm looking to spruce up the engine bay just a tad. I already bought the SPT heat shield to discover it won't fit on my car...so I'm returning it. Now I'm looking at picking up the cobb SS one. I know I could just trim the stock one, but what I want to know is if the cobb one is a decent part. Like, is it gonna rattle and whatnot? Anyone who has used it chime in. I know its a relatively insignificant part but I'd rather only buy one more time. Thanks!

I have one that I got from a member on this site... Its a good looking piece but had to be heavily modified by Topspeed to get it on.. Don't know its because of the Helix DP I have or what, but I had to be trimmed and bent before it would fit...

We usually cut the stocker to fit correctly over upgraded downpipes.

I'm guessing the trimming doesn't have any affect on how it works then? Thanks for the replies guys. I know I'm being OCD but every little part counts, right?

I was going to trim, but the stock heat shield was such a PITA to get off I said screw it and bought a COBB heatshield from YungDZ off the forums...

However, I was not aware of this rattle issue, or fitment problems (I haven't installed mine yet). My old roommate (Jeb here on the forums) has a COBB shield on his wrx...looks good, and best off all, easy to get on / off. We've never noticed any issues coming from it, either.
