Hi guys. Not sure if I've met any of you at some of the larger south east meets over the last couple years, but wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

I've lived in Birmingham for the last three years, and you guys might recognize me from NASIOC, and probably know at least some of BDSM. I'm a driving enthuiesist, but not quite a car junkie. I like rallycross, and autocross, though I'm not very good at either one. I like to play, not practice :)

My company is relocating me to the Savannah area, and I'll be moving as soon as I can get my house to sell. Looking primarily in the Pooler area. My job keeps me on the road constantly, and the Pooler area is nice and convienent to both interstates, and in my price range. I have a 2006 STi, SGM. She's still stock since it's my "company car." Company gives me a car allowance, but it also means I put 42k miles on it last year.

So I'll be seeing you guys around, and will try to make it out to some meets once I'm in the area permenantly.

    :wavey:

We were in the white 87 RX coupe.

    Hi Erin!!!

42k on the STi already? When was the silver 02 totaled out? It can't have been a year already, can it??

Pooler is a nice nice little area. I like it. it's also right down the street from Roebling Road!!

good luck, and welcome to being an hour ahead of everyone ;)

Actually, she's about to hit 46k since she'll be 13 months old Tuesday. Was the 4th of July last year when I wrecked the '02. Still miss the bug-eye, but love the STi. I've got to get my house sold and moved over to this area, 1200 miles a week is getting old! In Port Wentworth until Tuesday, then up to Tennessee, then back to bham, and will probably end up in this area again next week.

And speaking of milage, where is the closest dealer to Savannah with a good service department? Or a local guy who's familiar with Subies. When you can't make it a month between oil changes, let alone three, it helps to have one that's convienent!

Thanks for the link, I'll try to make it to the next one. Though be warned my technical skills are defficient, and I can be an enthusiastic cone killer  I haven't made it to any of bham's autocrosses this year, and only made one or two last year, so I'm out of practice as well as a relative noob.

we do have a subaru dealership here in savannah, although, i cannot vouch for them since i have never been there. they are in the same place as the much larger toyota dealership, if that tells you anything.
jacksonville might be your best bet for service....although it wouldn't hurt to look into the one here....

I've been to the Chatham Parkway Subaru and while they don't exactly follow directions to the fullest extent (I told them to torque my wheels to 70 ft-lbs and they WAY overtorqued them) but overall they were decent.

This is where I'm getting the car repaired from my accident a couple weeks ago. I'll let you know how that goes once it's done...

I looked through your thread, so sorry about the accident, I've been there myself, and it sucks. My '02 was cursed with running into things, none of which should have been in the road! The final one was last summer, totaled the WRX, but I wasn't at fault and teh insurance settlement was kind to me so I got my STi.

I hope they do a good job for you, it's a nice looking car.

And the leg humping begins ;)

BattleWagon, when were you in Bham? I'm trying to place you. The only silver wagon I recall belonged to a guy named Kevin I think.

Thanks, I look at it as an opportunity to upgrade. :) Looking for some EDM projector headlights now so I can use some of the insurance cash to partially pay for them. Wanted some Morette's but they are no longer sold in the States anymore. Damnit.

Anyways, I also live in Pooler so if you want some pointers on where to stay, pm me.

Look forward to having another Scooby in town!!!
