I'm hoping someone here has a nice and shiney Koyo aluminum radiator in their car, leaving the OEM one just sitting there collecting dust.

I had my car at the "local" dealership for some tranny work and when I got it back, it now sprays coolant all over my engine bay, like the epoxy came loose at the top. It was fine when I took it in. When I got the car back, there was way too much coolant in the overflow bottle. Only thing I can figure out is that the added pressure cracked my radiator as it IS plastic. I "could" take it back but you all know they will say I added the coolant myself, (I did not) or my "muffler" caused the radiator to fail and deny any warranty work. Any moron can see the Min and Max line on the coolant bottle but for whatever reason, a tech decided to fill it 3/4 full. I bought a turkey baster and removed the extra coolant, enough to fill a wine bottle half way, hoping the added pressure was causing the fluid to blow by the hose fittings but it still leaks.

The car was serviced back at the end of Oct and then three days later the tranny failed and I took the car back to the dealer for repair. It sat for 6 weeks at the dealer. I've put 600 miles on the car since, 500 of which was breaking in a new clutch. The car is driven in stop and go traffic every day.

I digress, anyone with a spare radiator? Name your price.

    Thanks.....

  4. I think that the overflow is vented.I do not believe that woukld add any pressure.

How could you damage a radiator changing the tranny?

Same way you can damage a tranny from installing an exhaust. ;)

Seriously tho, you must have missed the part about the car being serviced as in oil change, fluid top off, ect. Either way, it was fine before they touched it.
