I just did the clock replacement gauge pod and have 4 gauges (I made a custom single pod for my boost gauge). I have a problem though, I need some help installing my gauges to function. I was hoping somebody on here could help me with the install one day. I have the oil pressure gauge, Oil temp, and air fuel gauge. I'm sure I can do the boost gauge myself. If anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it

i'm a bit pressed for time, but look up the oil filter sandwich adapter http://www.wrxtra.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=35

it has 2 ports, so you can run both the press and temp from one point. unless you can use the stock sender, which i'm not sure about how to accomplish. look around that website, they have lots of helpful toys for guage installs

afr - i dunno, someone here will prob chime in though.

The instructions I got for my gauges came with some parts and say I have to drill into my engine and such. This site looks like it has everything I need so I WONT have to drill anything. Thanks Monk, Im sure I can do the install now when the adapter arrives

I did something wrong. I installed my gauges by trying to run the cable to the wiring harness that runs to the dash components/radio. It didnt work. Then I connected them to the the clock harness (where I should have did it in the first place) but wasnt sure if it would work. Well the gauges turn on now but they wont turn off! Is this becaude the factory clock stays on even when the car is off? any ways I cut the red wire so they arent on period until I can figure out what I am doing. But now the turbo timer wont turn on, any suggestions?

Look on the underside of the clock where the harness plugs in. Near the plug there should be a ground/switched power/constant power/dim markings. Match up the harness wires to how it plugs in and use those wires where applicable on the gauges. If you've got autometers they dont dim when hooked up to the dimmer; apparently subaru varies the electrical resistance instead of voltage to make the lights dim.

I cut the red wire and now the gauges only come on when the car is on. I'm pretty pissed about my turbo timer though. Is it possible i fried it with the cables? I'm sure its a fuse but all of my fuses seem fine and I pulled everything out of the dash to check the wiring and there aren't any loose ends. The timer was installed by the previous owner and I'm not sure what wires he plugged into, its in the place of the ashtray, possibly plugged into the ashtray illuminations?
