this may be a dumb question but i am trying to find the dif. or pros and cons on uppipes what is the dif of a uppipe with a flex and one without, i have an 03 wrx which do i need?
Either or. As far as I know, it doesn't really matter. I think most people have flex up pipes tho. Unless they are externally gated in which case all of those up pipes I have seen were solid.
Read through this thread. Good info in there. http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13677
I personally have never had a problem with non-flex uppipes. If I was going to buy one I would buy the Cobb Inconel....that stuff is cool
There is a HKS uppipe being sold by YungDz. That is the same pipe that I have been using for close to three years now. Its non-flex, and I have had no issues with it breaking or anything. Since that is really what the flex non flex debate is all about. The only issue that I have ever had with the up is that the egt sensor has backed out, but you can definitely hear it when it does. The car will become a lot more throaty under the hood. The install sucks.
