So my girlfriend gave me her Headunit, because her new car has a nice stereo anyways (Scion).

I had to go buy the Wiring Harness, as well as order the one that comes originally with the Head Unit (because it was taken off at the junk yard after somebody ran into her).

It's coming in tomorrow because I'm stupid and did next day delivery, which cost more than the parts that I ordered :squint: oops.

Does anybody have a soldering iron, that could help me out tomorrow? Or should I just run by a Car Audio place and give somebody 5 bucks to do it on my lunch break? Seeing as I paid that much for the shipping to get here tomorrow, I'd be as well do it then anyways lol.

Do you think I could come by and pick it up tonight? That way I could use it tomorrow and then take it back to you tomorrow night?

How do you like that coldheat device? I've always used the old fashioned irons.

it's a good device saves the pain of getting ur skin burn or anything eles that hurts u and it does work well but the pain is the thing on it, it's good for atleast about 100 or so small soldering if u wanna do big once then go old fashion way.. but for smal work like wires and etc works great

Cool. I was wondering if it was one of those wonder tools that just sort of faded into obscurity. :)

i have 2 regular irons around the house here in homepark if you need them. Everyone i heard that ever bought a coldheat gun broke the tip within 3 uses, it's mega brittle.

I'll make sure I'm really careful with his tip then. :)

    ...That sounds bad

The Cold Heat "iron" has an very brittle tip, and when it breaks, the cost of a new tip is the same the iron.

You can always twist and heat shrink as well.

i dont really care for mine i used it on abt 41 different uses around the house and the tip is holding fine.. it all depends on the user.. over all u can use it and if it breaks thats not a problem..
