From time to time, it takes a real disaster and the affected victims for us to realize how blessed we all are. It was not until I walked by a television this evening that I realized how devastating Hurricane Katrina has been. Some of the moderators and I spoke about the destruction, and we want to help and we are looking for your support.

We want to donate at least $200 to the American Red Cross. To achieve this goal, all donations made by members of www.WRXatlanta.com for the month of September will go directly to the American Red Cross. Our ambitious goal is $420, which would equate to about $1.20 per member on average. If you have ever considered donating and have not yet done so, now is the perfect time because your donation will go to helping the victims of this disaster. American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina's destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands of victims left homeless with critical necessities.

I felt it was the least we as an enthusiast community could do.

From the Red Cross donation site:
"The American Red Cross is not a government agency and all Red Cross disaster assistance is free thanks to the generosity of people like you. The value of your donation is increased by the fact that the ratio of volunteer Red Cross workers to paid staff is almost 36 to one."

To make a donation, simply go to: http://www.WRXatlanta.com/donate.php

Donations of any size are always welcome and greatly appreciated.

The entire WRXatlanta.com team and the victims of Hurricane Katrina thank you in advance for your generosity.

    God Bless,
