just wanted to know if you guys know a cheap place for a 60,000 mile check up.went to one place was charging me 930 which i think is too much,i have 2004 sti thanks.
cant remember what 60k service includes off the top of my head, but after giving SOG a few hundred for basically a new set of windshield wipers for my 30k service, Im going to do this one myself
As far as I remember, it's basically a change of all fluids, and a timing belt change. You might as well replace the water pump while you're in there as well. Here's a schedule--> Subaru Maint Schedule
Unless the 04 STi is different than my '02, here is what was in my '02 list: Oil, filter transmission fluid Brake fluid change coolant air filter fuel filter (maybe newer cars don't have this) spark plugs PCV (not on list, but I did this) Power steering (not on list but I did) wiper inserts (if necessary) rear diff fluid rotate / balance tires No mention of the timing belt until 90 or 105K.
Ive read that there is a filter that is inside the oil feed line going to the turbo and that some say it is a good idea to remove. e.g. the filter can slowly become clogged and cause the turbo to lose its oil supply = turbo failure. anyone ever removed or cleaned this little guy? check out forcedperformance's website, they have a lil tab about it
I looked for that filter the last time I replaced my turbo and it did not have one...Mine is an 03 tho
need a place for 60t check up who is kingrex? how do i get a hold of him, so no suggestions on a place in ga that will do it for me besides dealership.
