Ok I can install a turbo no problem. Injectors..sure. Front mount yup..Exhausts yea..Springs/Struts no prob but when it comes to electrical shit I need help. Heres the scoop I recently got my hands on an aftermarket car alarm for my wifes Honda CRV and I need some help installing it. Is there anyone here that can come by and help out. I will gladly provide some food and beverages and all the tools needed.

if you have any question, i can perhaps give you some hints or if you're close by, perhaps help out. I installed my own car alarm system on my integra a couple of years back.

Most of the things are pretty self explanatory. All the wires that you need to find are mostly found under the steering wheel for starter harness and all the other accessaries light could be trace through the fuse box. The hardway of installing is to do the solder method by splicing the add-on wires to the wiring system already there. Although this is hardway to do it, it insures the tight connection and the cleaness of the connection. The shortcut way of doing it is to go to Radioshack and get the connection tap. This is a pretty cool device that will be useful when testing for connection or testing the correct wiring during the installation. Often time circuit city/bestbuy and other installation center will use this, b/c it's quick and easy. However, they look messy and they could cause problem as the connection could become loose. My recommendation is to use the tap to test the system to insure that all is well, then if you're confident in the connection, then leave it as is or change it to the splicing technic.

Also do not daisy chain the hot wire by connecting too may hots to it. Use the a bigger guage wire to come off then tap it off of that into the alarm system.

All this may seem troublesome, but once you get the hang of it, it would be alright...the hardest part is to find all the wires in the car...having a manual would be great. To ease this pain, go to either the alarm manufacture website or use book such as the Haynes manaul that will help you locate and also tell you the color of the wire that you're looking for!

Good luck, let me know if you need help with anything else.
