I've just received my new Helix DNA coilovers and I plan to install them on Saturday. However I have no experience in doing anything like this and I would greatly appreciate if anybody would stop by to help me out (yeah i know most of you will be at the scavenger hunt on sat :) . The coilovers didn't come with any instructions, and i know how to do the basic installation but i have no idea how to adjust the camber or the height of the spring. I have all the tools necessary and i will be doing all the work at my house in Hoschton, close to Hamilton Mill and the Mall of Georgia. It would be fun to hang out with a bunch of subaru entusiasts instead of doing the install by myself.

Its not a bad install. You won't need spring compressors or anything. Its just the two bolts on the brake knuckle and the three bolts at the top of the strut (plus brake and abs lines). You will need a cheater bar to break loose the brake knuckle bolts. Just have an extra person around to catch the struts when you loosen the top three bolts. To get to the rears you have to remove the rear seat, not bad either. As far as adjustability goes, just try to match up the heights to one another. A tape measure would help. Coilovers really can't be properly setup without an alignment machine and corner weighting.

Yah, it's pretty easy, i ended up calling alex for mine :).

The only trick is on the rears to disconnect the sway bars or the angle won't be right when you go to put the new ones on... Fronts you don't need to.

If it werent so far I'd come out and help but i'm up near kennesaw...

    Good luck!!

Thank you for the number man.

I have a few questions about the adjustment of the coilovers. First how do you adjust the height? I thought that all i had to do was to loosen the the two nuts that hold the spring in place (A), but the spring just moves freely then. There is a third nut on the bottom (B) and the whole bottom end can be raised or lowered on the shock.
Second, how do i adjust the camber plate? Is it enough to loosen the four small bolts on top or do i need to loosen the big bolt on top too?
    Here's a pic:

To adjust the camber plates you want to loosen the four bolts on top.

Yeah, i figured all those things myself when i installed them. Thanks for the information though. I've installed them on saturday and i'm extremely pleased with the results. The car feels totally different, it hugs the road very well and it feels faster.

That's because it is faster. Just keep playing with the settings till you're happy with it. It usually takes some time with damping and springrates and height.
