I came across this site today, and it has some helpful videos for installing a lot of different things on Subies. Someone has mentioned this site before for installing a short throw shifter. I am sure it can help someone.

Their brake line removal is the worst though! You use a flared wrench on the lines not an adjustable.

Well that was definitely useful, esp. the brake maintenance series. There's quite a few more videos on there since I last checked it sometime over a year ago. I'm at 75k on my stock fluid (and stock pads/rotors) and though they seem like they've got life left and there's no softness in the pedals, its time to do the fluid and prob do the pads while I'm in there anyway. They're prob. getting close.

One quick n00b question though: What was that little pad he used instead of a proper pinch-weld adapter on his floor jack? I didn't know there was anything you could use on a cheap floor jack to jack at the pinch welds if it didn't allow changing the jack plate for a pinch-weld plate.
