I am now on my 2nd OE WRB ('02) hoodscoop with flaking paint. Is this a common problem? Any tricks to getting paint to stick to it. I was thinking about getting it resprayed, just want to find that secret primer that will stick.

    Are you "rattle canning" it?

I was going to buy good automotive paint and have a friend who has a paint gun do it along with clearcoat afterwards.

There's this stuff called 'Bulldog' which acts as a adhesive promoter/flex. You can get it at any autobody supply shop.

    Here is one in Cumming:

    Southern Auto Color
    105 Enterprise Dr
    Ste A
    Cumming, GA 30040

They can also match the WRB (as long as you have the color code) and put it in a can for you (under $20.00, prob a bit more to add Bulldog).
