how a stiff rear sway bar can fix your stupid mistake

I admit this was a stupid move and I do not condone street racing....but sometimes testosterone gets the best of you

that said, let the fun begin. At a light....honda prelude....loud music...two silly boys. We raced. I was going to make a right turn, but I was going TOO fast. started to understeer bad. Drop a gear and gun it. Thanks to the diffs and a stiff rear swaybar, it oversteered immediately and I made the turn no problem. It was kinda foolish looking though, but cool at the same time. Don't understeer on the street or you might not be as lucky as me.

What size bar do you have on the back? I have mine set at 24' and it still takes alot of effort to kick the back out...

yup. when you think you are entering too hot into a corner, just lift up the throttle. You tail will swing out and head will pull in. I LOVE this AWD system.

the prelude was no contest... all show and no go. the more i think about it, they were just eggin me on to see me go. I'm so gullible sometimes.

The way my car is set up, it is not hard to do a power oversteer. I have only done it in first or second gear though. I have hotchkis street sway bars, it is a hollow 1" D bar and I have it on the middle setting. That is supposed to be a 90% stiffer setting than stock. I also have a rear strut bar and pink springs. The only time my car has done an oversteer when i lift is when I went off track doing about 50 in a large sweeper in an autocross. That made me pucker up a little.

I did all those mods at the same time, so maybe it is just the combination.

If you have both front and rear set the same, I think that would make your car pretty nuetral. I have whiteline front and rear. Front is set to 27 rear 26 and I don't get oversteer when I lift throttle.

neither do I unless I am really pushing the limit. Otherwise, very neutral cornering. Actually, I would be very interested in doing a skidpad with my car.
