I've got a black car and of course, it HAS to be clean. At any rate, my standard procedure is this. Wash at a high pressure do it yourself wash bay, hand dry, quick jaunt home to the garage then clay bar the whole car, one coat of Meguiars Show Car Glaze, then one coat of Meguiars NXT paste wax. Seems to work pretty damn well for me, hides lots of swirl and makes the paint look incredibly deep and glossy. So how do you detail your car?
This is usually my process: 1) Wash and rinse 2) Clay bar whole car 3) Chamois dry 4) Polish 5) Wax I might have to try the show car glaze... What do you guys use for the dash? I have using armorall... I hear its bad in the long run...
I wash and claybar at the same time, using the soap as the lubricant for the claybar, saves a lot of time.
i use the armorall whips on the inside for my car. wash the same as everyone else though. i need to try the wash and clay bar at the same time though.
