I want to get a used DP but I dunno, im kinda scared of buying something sold privately off a large website like NASIOC.
Don't forget that Afande is selling a dp (it reads like he'll part it out anyway). http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7478
knock on wood ive purchased a TON of things on nasioc, thevboards, importatlanta, clubwrx, and a few other sites with not 1 problem other htan slow shipping in a few situations.
Same here, no problems. But I do pay attention to the member number and how often they post. Plus the new feedback thing is handy.
Ok sorry, can some one make this clear for me? Does an 02/03 DP fit on an '06? No right? Does an 04/05 DP fit on an '06?
:squint: Don't you mean that the up-pipe's already catless?? A downpipe should work from any year 02+
your right an 02-05 wont fit your car. the 06 dp is about 4 inches shorter than the previous years. the up is but i dont think the dp is catless on the 06.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=898479 this is the link i used am i wrong is this only for the shorty dp?
you where right ped. the whole dp is interchangable between any year. First Half of Downpipe: 02-05 WRX/STi (DOES NOT WORK ON 06+ WRX/STI) Second Half of Downpipe: 02-05 WRX/STi (DOES NOT WORK ON 06+ WRX/STI) Complete Downpipe: WILL WORK ON 06+ WRX/STI
you can check their threads and then look at what they've sold previously and how that turned out. I've had good luck so far.
I always view their old posts and see what kinda person they are and if they have a good reputation in their local forums.
I ask NASIOC members for their ebay ID, check their feedback and I message that user account asking them what they're selling on nasioc too.
good and bad exp. most of the bad ones you kinda have a sense of it when they have excuses in cant gettin you a pic or "sketchy responce" but never the less never once it was totally bad, just not truthful in descriptions. Its all about managing expectations. Sometimes gettin new if you can afford it is the best way
if u are able to filter through some of the bullshit responses, NASIOC holds a lot of knowledge... i have done a lot of research on nasioc before buying stuff for my cars
I have had nothing but great luck on NASIOC. I think that people give it a bad rap all the time and it is a great forum. Mark
Now come on Mark, We all know there's no greater forum than this one. I do use it as a form of Tech. Reference. Weeding through the BS is a good idea though Oh and I read through OT. I find myself having a good laugh out loud at some of the crap that gets posted over there.
Eh. I'm really just confused because for some reason I can't post or edit or anything. And apparently for no reason because I don't have any warning points, and it was just like I was cut off. It happened right after I posted my car when I first got it which doesn't make any sense. :dunno: I wrote em' a letter last week so maybe they'll get it straightened out or whatever. You definitely have to wade through some BS to get the info you want though.
