I was tuning my wrx this morning. ahhh.... it pulls nice and strong!!!  But Whenever I stoped and made some adjustment on my map, i could smell my burnt clutch. I never launched my car, and it was more like WOT at 2nd and 3rd gear. so i'm just wondering how much torque stock wrx clutch can handle before it slips badly??

I would not be too concerned about the clutch as much as the gearset...I had 308/292 before meth and sawed every tooth off of 2nd. Cluthches are cheap.

i think most people say around the 300+whp/t mark is where things start to become iffy. Granted some have more luck than others

Somewhere around 400lb/ft of torque at the crank is where the stock clutch starts to give up.

390 ftlbs to the wheel on my car.

    12.4 at 113 with a 1.7 60ft.

All on the stock 02 tranny.

It didn't last too many launches at that level but dialy driving with an occasional spirited run through the gears it made it 25k miles.
