good news!!! Hesitation is gone. The culprit was the MAF sensor. who knew that rubbing alcohol and a q-tip could add about 40hp.

I went on nasioc and there were several threads about the same thing with everyone guessing what it could be and I just decided to give it a shot. I knew it had to be something with the air flow by just the way it was choking itself. You don't know how relieved I was when I punched it and it threw me back in the seat...lol

yeah me too!! The MAF was black on the side the air hits first and its all pretty now. It runs better now than it ever has.
I would say everyone should inspect between 40-50k especially with a cai. My aem is dirty as hell, need a new filter actually.

where are you gonna get your new filter?....I need one as well but not 100% sure which one I need...you do have a Injen CAI if I remember correctly....also how do you get to that bad boy?...

    >>sorry for threadjack<<<

Glad you figured out the problem!! I'm gonna check my MAF status as well...

I think any standard cone filter will do. Im going to check out Pep Boyz or Autozone and see if they have one that will fit. To get to is you need to take off the plastic lining on the inside fender well or from under the car from the plastic lining.

Sweet let me know if you find one...it's a standard 3in cone filter correct?

CRC just released a spray in cleaner just for MAF's. I wouldn't suggest the Q-tip thing. The wire is REALLY small and easily damaged. Putting the alcohol in a plastic bag with the maf and swishing it around is another way I've heard of doing it...

If you damage that wire, MAF's are $240+....

I'm glad it worked for you, but be careful ;)

    Been there . . .

My MAF was crudded to the point where we couldnt clean it and I ended up having to get a new one and a retune since the old tune was done with the gunked up old MAF.
