this is what i have done in the past: * hold the clutch and put it in gear * stomp the gas * when the rpm passes 4500, start releasing the clutch, taking about 0.5-1 second to release it completely im sure there are better ways but mine is so simple
Sounds about right, but I do 5500 at the track... I'm in a plain ole' wrx though, not sure if it makes a difference. Only do it 1 or 2 days a year, cuz that can't be to good 4 the tranny.
My trick.....At the line you want to ease off the clutch till the car wants to move. Then you use one foot to press both the brake and the gas and apply more brake as needed. It is very hard and took a lot of practice for me but you will get the jist. All I know was as soon as I launch and I looked at the boost gauge it was at 19 psi when usually it is at 10 psi.
