lol thats not genious.. my cousin already has that in his 00 conv eclipse like all 4 of them.. not the bright idea but his worked with the heater and it also channels the flow 2.. thats ingenious :fawk:
I think that is a horrible place to put a gauge. I agree with Alex, that is my hand warmer, and I would never give that up. Also, I wonder if people who do that have issues with their drivers side window fogging up? Also, would it be good to have hot air in the winter blowing on the back of the gauge?
i dont think its a dumb idea... i just prefer having my gauges available in my peripheral vision... that location would require me to look away from the road... however it looks very neat when installed
it seems like a good location if the vent was not there....personally as much as i hate it the pillar is the smartest location but everyone with a civic has there gas gauges and water temp gauges there.
Agreed 100%. I think pillar gauges are probably the best location, but I don't want to be associated with all of the ricers...actually that's true for so many car parts.
hey i have side piller beam gauges [i'm not a ricer no one atleast ] lol maybe i'm thinking about nitro gauge there or maybe watertemp in the air vent and maybe i can get a little smaller gauge so i can still have warm air capbilites.. remember if u can imagine u can do anything.. .
I guess I'm dumb lol wrxbacano and I actually thought about doing a write up when doing his car haha. It doesn't fog up the driver's side window since there's a vent above it which is mainly to de-fog the window. I do have to turn my head little bit to look at the gauge but doesn't bother me too much.
That actually doesn't look bad at all now that I've seen the other pics that Michael posted up. It's definately being original which I'm all about. Looks good! I'm still trying to decide where to put my boost guage.
I'm planning on putting egt & fuel pressure gauge in the steering column using this. http://www.sakarimotorsports.com/sakari/product_info.php?products_id=1650 I wish I can move the boost gauge to the steering column but like I mentioned earlier that it can't separate it from the trim. Also 60mm is too big for the steering column. I want to put 52mm on the steering column...
what about the autometer gauge cluster set up ..looks great, conv, and practical..takes up un used space..pluse like inly 70 $ ish
