I was late for work, and I was trying to rush to get there. Every turn I made seemed to put me going in the wrong direction, so I was getting farther and farther away from work. But that is not the bad part. MY CAR WAS OVERHEATING!!! My idea was that if I could just keep it out of the red until I got to work I could check it out when I got there (I work at a repair shop), and since I was late for work I couldn't pull over to let it cool down. I turned the heat on to try to help bleed off some of the heat, and it worked for a few seconds...but then I hear this gurgling bubbling sound and then coolant starts POURING out of the heater vents...and I mean POURING...like a waterfall. So I have to stop, and when I get out and look at the car, there is coolant pouring out of everywhere...the tail pipe, the engine, the spokes of the wheels... ...and then I woke up. So, what do you guys think...blown head gasket?
Yeah, I really don't know what to make of this one, except that on friday we went out to lunch with the boss and the table conversation was about being late for work...he wasn't directing the conversation at any one in particular, and it wasn't a stern talking to or anything, we were joking around...but I had come in late that morning (I ran out of gas...seriously...1st time in like 7 years.) But...the waterfalls of coolant...????
overheating. Is It really cold where you are? I had a similar problem with a jeep I had. I had more water than coolant in the system and it was so cold that it froze and wouldnt go through the radiator to cool it down. It was like 5 degrees out in MA and I was on the side of the road over heated.. go figure.. just a thought
Well a Mountain Dew commercial just told me that cold air blowing on you when you're sleeping can cause bad dreams...Can't say I've had a car-related dream that bizarre. Mine are always shit like my car getting stolen and me having to spend hour after hour chasing the bastard down :unamused:
