So as of friday night i am the proud owner of a wrecked subaru. Had someone look at me then pull out in front of me anyways, as i avoided hitting them i ended up spinning out sliding and hitting a curb all at around 60. ruined three of my wheels and my whole rear end is out of whack. rear fender is flared out and in from the impact of the wheel hitting it and the front fender is out of alignment too... as for visual that is all i can tell but only insurance will tell me how bad it really is... i will try and get some pics up little later tonight, all in all im pretty lucky the car didnt flip but the part that pisses me off is the person never stopped or anything.... ugh... had to vent some and figured everyone here would feel my pain!
Fuck, man. Sorry to hear it! Glad you're alright. Thank goodness for insurance, right? STI Time. :naughty:
yeah a little... it was mostly because of the motion though... i havent had any problems cause of the tires even in the rain but the road where it happened is pretty oily and the road was just damp enough from that... i never hit the gas so it was sheer moment that sent the car around
yes thank goodness for insurance, and no its not time for an sti... mine will be fixed... only thing im worried about is fighting them to put rota's back on the car....
I always wonder if someone is causing you to wreck if you shouldn't try to get a piece of them so that they have to stop and it's obvious that they caused it, not that that would be easy to remember in an emergency situation, but I still wonder... Siegel
unfortunately it would have been my fault... but if it would not have been i would have been all for there insurance paying... besides that might not have done much good to the rednecks jacked up truck...
they were turning out in front of me and i would have rear ended them... no witnesses so it would have looked to be my fault... and since they were the type that didnt even stop to see if i was ok im sure they would have made a huge story up making it all seem to be my fault...
Nah, fuck that! I hate when people do that shit! Why stare at me, then pull out in front of me! Are peoples judgement really that bad? I mean, majority of the time there are no cars behind you. All they have to do is wait oh, 4 more seconds! Glad you are ok dude.....people suck!
found out today that insurance quoted an intial 2200 dollars worth of damage but i have a feeling more is in store once the shop actually digs into the car.
2,200 does seem a bit low..but hopefully there isn't much else wrong other than what they see and quoted you for..where are you taking it?
i have a place right done the street from where i live that i know alot of the guys there... called mauldin body shop... pretty reputable... i am waiting to see a copy of the estimate but i know there is alot of damage in the rear end since the whole rear axle was shifted and tweaked...
That...is exactly why I don't own a gun. I would have lit that truck up and gone to jail forever. What did you mean by if you would have hit him it would have been your fault?
would have rear ended them cause they were coming out in front of me before they decided to stop half way out....
I guess like anything you got to roll with the punches. Being an older guy and not believing in the cup half full theory, you have to hope for the best, prepare for the worst and be ready for anything. These days life can be very treacherous so try to make good decisions and learn from your challenges. The hard cold truth is that this system is not designed to help you, it is designed to exploit you. Learn how to work the system, or it will work you. What you are experiencing now is just a micro-example of how fucked you can get. That’s all……………….
I don't...call me an optimist, but I hate looking at the world w/ a negative view. I'd like to think that at least some people out there still have a positive outlook on life and are willing to help out fellow people. I'm not a pessimistic person and I'd like to think that other people wake up with smiles on their face. Yes, you have to roll with the punches...I work on commission and when jobs fall through they cost me, the salesman, quite a bit. I just had a job where I personally lost over $2,000 out of my pocket...I had a coworker who just lost almost $8,000 on a job go bad. However, the next day, you have to forget about it and go back to making money. Roll with the punches, but don't hold unnecessary grudges or have a negative outlook on life or its policies...you'll miss all the good times that come along.
positive outlook is true... i guess i was more regarding to the so called "system" that is crap... i live everyday to its fullest and dont wish to change the things that happen as i feel it does all happen for a reason just there are times where it all seems a blur... you have to take the bad with the good in life otherwise we would not know what the good was...
