Idea on Decreasing Air Intake Temps for CAI

So I might just be splitting hairs here...but I had an idea (that might have already been done before anyway).

As we all know, when you switch to a CAI/FMIC setup, you lose the stock airbox grill routing and air is pulled from the fender well. If you are just running a CAI, there are companies like K&N that make shrouds to cover the opening and decrease the amount of hot engine bay air that enters the intake track.

With FMIC piping, this is not as easy and is usually just left open. My thought was to use the stock grill intake inlet and trim it so that fresh air from the grill gets piped directly to the top of where the CAI resides.

Not only would that force more outside air into that area of the engine bay, but it should (in theory) decrease intake temps by providing somewhat of a shield of air from the engine bay.

What do you guys think? Worth doing or probably just work that will amount to nothing?

Id say its worth punching in two clips :wiggle:
Similar to how the Cobb intake uses the stock funnel
