This thing is great! Sound quality is rather nice and the output level is much better than an FM transmitter. You can actually have bass now! Also no more cranking it up to the max to hear things. I put my Zune on 20(highest), and then I can put the radio at around 6-10 whilst sitting still. So the volume level is slightly lower than most CD's, but much better than transmitters. Install was not very difficult. The hardest part was getting the face plate off the radio. I ended up having my mom pop it off as she had longer fingernails. The install is pretty straight forward, just unscrew things, hook up the cables, and then put it all back together. I did end up having to drill a hole in the heatsink next to the radio antenna. Then I routed the cable down the back and it comes out where those two plugs are in front of the cup holders. Monday I'm going to dremel one out to make a notch for the cable. I'm a pretty happy customer! No more CD's FTW! :naughty: *This was basically an update to my previous thread asking about it*
I bought it off Jazzyengineering.com. Payed 55.01 shipped. They have pretty detailed instructions on the site, so I didn't bother to take pics. Basically it's just a aux cable sticking out of the middle console at the moment. Not very exciting.
