stay stock, the stock one flows very well (good enough for 350+). get a new one and you'll want/need to get a tune for it afterwards

thats what ive heard, but what about the sound? I know its kinda newbish but I like that whooosh sound an aftermarket intake makes. Is there anyway to get the best of both worlds?

If you want a little extra noise, removing the big plastic silencer that's in the fender well will help. It'll make some whoosh and not hurt performance any.

You have to pull the plastic flap/panel that's on the front bottom of the fender down and you can get it out that way. There's one or two nuts in there -- might be one in the engine bay side of the fender wall too... it's pretty easy to get it out.

Havent seen that DIY in forever. Yep, if you are looking for more "sound" remove the silencer. It is fairly simple and very straightforward.

the other thing you can do is replace the stock accordion intake hose. replace it with the maf intake hose. [IMG]
they're right about the stock air box. just get a good panel filter.
