Well I took my intercooler off to change my trand fluid(did the cocktail and love it) but I put it back on and right when boost kicks in it makes a high pitched whistle. It did this when I first installed it but I think I just kept playing with it and it stopped. Its probably a leak but not sure where or what. Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thanks

    Yep, it's a leak.

Unless you can locate the point where it's leaking (not very easy unless you can pressurize the intake), just pull it off and reinstall, making sure everything's snug.

Sounds like a boost leak. Double check your Y-Pipe and Throttle body hose and make sure they are not torn. Make sure your hose clamps are tight too!

I bet it's the same problem I have. Are you hitting target boost? With me I get a high pitched noise but I still run fine. When I got a boost leak the noise stopped (so did my boost at 11psi). I put the clamp back on and it's fine, still makes the noise.

I'm going to reinstall my intercooler and see if that high pitched noise goes away.

i had the noise too when i upgraded my intercooler... turned out that the BPV didn't seat right... i double gasketed it and noise was gone

Yaea i'll play with it again, Just wondering if it was more simple. i do have the eBay intercooler and the TB hose is cut a little short but it will work fine.

on a related proble, I have hear high pitched noise as well but it's a repeated chu-chu-chu sound and boost will drop by 4-5psi instantly, i thought it was compressor surge...but not sure anymore

This happens in higher gear with higher load, for example, downshift to 4th gear going 60mph, and giving it throttle on SZ49 with 19lb actuator

I had to buy a longer hose. I have some extra if you need it.
