Nothing much really until you get tuned. looks cool though! May help out with better cooling but not sure if you'll notice a difference.
You should then! but first I would also get a TBE if you don't already have one, then you could stage two it with a tune, then you'll notice a difference.
not sure if therd be a much of a diff even with a tune vs the stock WRX IC esp since you dont have a bigger turbo...
There will be a difference. Large IC has a more efficient air to air cooling capacity. Also, it has a better design, so there is less pressure loss from the compressor of the turbo to the throttle body. Of course there are better bar and plate designs out there that will decrease the loss even further (ebay IC). A tune would definitely help the situation out as well. Since the cooler the air coming in the more you can shove in your engine.
well, id get y-pipes (new ones the plastic ones suck ass.) if you plan on an easy install.. its not too hard.. couple of bolts.. and a few clamps notthign too difficult...and a TBE is a Downpipe + cat back exhaust. They do WONDERS for your car with proper tuning
yes it is a straight drop in may have to finagle the brackets a little but it will go in, just becareful of your boost lines on the turbo and wastegate housing. A tbe is (Turbo back Exhaust). we'll looks like nsvwrx beet me to the punch.
whether the STi TMIC is a straight drop in is a debatable topic... i have seen it go on smooth as butter on some cars and in others people have had to wrestle with it a little bit... do you have the STi y-pipe? i dont remember perfectly but i dont think the WRX y-pipe will fit tbe = turbo back exhaust
^^^Josh, I did the swap to my bugeye...stock STI intercooler, turbo, and pink injectors. W/ tune got a net 67AWHP @ 6000RPM. Just at 300hp to the ground.
really?!?! 300hp to the wheels with the vf39..that seems very high for that turbo..Can I see your dyno plot :wiggle:
