Hey guys, here my problem right now. I was driving home from dropping of my girlfriend at her house and my CEL came on. No big deal car still drove fine to make it home ok. I have an OBD2 scanner, hooked it up and I got the P0420 code. I know this means my cat has stopped working. I have an Invidia high flow catted down pipe and cat back. I just installed it all back in December. Only 3 months and 6000 miles ago. I plan on calling Invidia in the morning about covering it under warranty. I am just trying to see if anyone knows their warranty coverage range or plan or has anyone ever had to do a warranty claim with them or even if they offer a warranty for their cats. Any help or advice would be nice to know.
I doubt they will send you a replacement just because it could be numerous things wrong with your car throwing that code. Are you sure your O2 sensors are not causing it? Heck, they might even tell you to put a spacer between your O2 and the downpipe since it a High Flow cat in there.
No I haven't tried another o2. But speaking from my experience working in a shop the cat has been the culprit. Ill see if I can find a good one and swap it out to make sure. I'm just trying to see how invidias warranty is, like how long it is.(1 year , unlimited miles kinda thing).
