The 4GB is being discontinued, but you can order them for $299 until they're gone. The 8GB is now $399. There are a few other changes in the Apple store worth checking out. You know they have something cool in store for Christmas season. I think I'm going to snag one of those 4GB iPhones.
I don't think AT&T or Apple's unlocked them but others have hacked them to work on other networks. So can someone buy a new iPhone without signing up for an AT&T service contract that they want to immedately cancel for $399? When the ATT&T contract is canceled early there's an early termination fee of about $175 right? If you plan on using AT&T that's a nice price reduction though.
i'm waiting till next year, more storage space. and less problems. like faster processors to work the sooper finger texters like myself.
same rule applies to cars. NEVER buy the first year model. but i do LOVE my blackberry. so unless something goes crazy with it, i may stick with it for a while longer....
well iPhone is comming out in China next summer, i.e. All cell phones are unlocked from the factory on the Chinese market and I sure love my Nokia N95 so what does AT&T do when you want to travel oversears with your iPhone, I wonder if they will unlock for you.
T-Mobile unlocked two of my phones after 3 months service, when I stated travel as a reason. Then I switched to Verizon and put the phones in a drawer since they're not CDMA.
Psshh... I am staying OG with my 15G 3rd Gen iPod. Buttons on the click wheel? Now thats some crazy shit...

Also, everyone who bought an iPhone before the price drop gets a $100 store credit. I am buying the Airport Xtreme base station. It has gigabit ethernet and a usb port for printers and external hard drives. Will only have to spend $79 for it.
a couple more generations and the iphone will be worth it I'm sure..but until then I'm staying true to the Treo 750... Once the iphone has 3g network and some GPS and some other really good reasons to get it...i'll buy...but until that day comes my money is going to the car =)
