Is that a speaker on the front of your car?

So as I am filling up with gas today the guy in front of me asks "Is that a speaker on the front of your car?".

It took about 30 seconds to figure what the hell he was talking about. He thought my front mount was a speaker (its anodized black). :rofl:


The irony is I that I try so hard to keep my car stock looking.

I was too confused to repsond with anything other than a polite "No. It is not a speaker."

you could've always dumped your wastegate for him and told him it was the speaker up front.

 

I could see that question from Hella Horns, but I have never seen a Bar and Plate Speaker. Or just a large flat sqaure speaker.

I had some guys at autozone ask if my hellas were Fans for the radiator hmmmm...

They were out upclose looking at them to ..hmm. Just honked them and said they were horns

 

With the horns it would be too tempting to say that they were speakers.. then tell them they have to get close to hear them... then HONKKKKKKK.....

just a word of caution
a lot of times when you are stunned by questions or not paying attention while talking to a passer-by and they ask the funniest of questions to throw your balance off, another culprit may reach in your car and swag what you have on your psgr seat (laptop, wallet, cds, etc,...) Im sure this was not the case but just a caution

 

Good advice. I always lock my car at the gas station just for that reason.
